At the 20th East Asia Summit, EAS  ke-20, His Majesty in a titah recalled the first gathering of EAS Leaders twenty years ago in the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where the Kuala Lumpur Declaration on the East Asia Summit was adopted. With members from major economic powers, developing nations as well as permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, His Majesty further highlighted that the E.A.S. carries the collective credibility, trust, and moral responsibility to uphold international law and the principles of mutual respect with consistency and impartiality. Therefore, His Majesty states, working together would help restore confidence in the international system, strengthen multilateralism, and reaffirm collective responsibility to ensure lasting peace, stability, and prosperity for the region and beyond.
